Philadelphia Stories (www.philadelphiastories.org) is a nonprofit literary magazine and companion website that publishes literary fiction, poetry, and art from PA-NJ-DE and provides it to the general public free of charge.

Publisher/Fiction Editor: Carla Spataro is a 2005 Pennsylvania Council on the Arts fellowship recipient for fiction. Her work has been both a finalist and won second place in the Philadelphia City Paper Fiction contest. Three of her works have been selected for InterAct Theatre’s Writing Aloud and her short fiction can be read or is forthcoming in Parlor, Wild River Review, XConnect and Hackwriters. She earned an MFA in creative writing from Rosemont College and teaches English and creative writing at Temple University and Rutgers Camden.

Publisher/Managing Editor: Christine Weiser is a professional writer and editor and the one-time bass player for the Philly girl band, Mae Pang. Her current band, The Tights, can be heard in clubs in and around the Philadelphia area. In her other life, she is the co-author of Ask Mr. Technology, Get Answers (Linworth 2007) and contributing editor for Scholastic Instructor and Administrator magazines. Her first novel, Broad Street is now available.
